ABC Wednesday - K is for Knowing
This is a picture of the shells on the beach at Venice, Florida's Nokomis Beach in January. If everyone takes a pocketfull of shells when they visit the beach, will all the shells disappear? I don't know that they will, but just in case, I took a picture, instead. If you "know better" how does that impact the rest of your decisions? Usually I just post a picture and a little description - and it's usually about my home or my family! - but this week's post is actually a link to my other web site Writing Out Loud and my current essay on "Knowing". There are always a lot of sites to visit on ABC Wednesday, but I hope you get a chance to read it. And then, let me know what you think!

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI like your "K" post! I also checked out your essay "Knowing". It is so true. When we know we are not suppose to do that thing and still do it. So I guess we didn't learn, just skipped that part! I hope this isn't confusing! I seem to be having trouble putting into words what I want to say! Have a great day!!

Thanks for reading...and actually - it doesn't sound confusing at all! It must mean we "know" what we're talking about!
ReplyDeleteI like taking pictures of shells on beaches as well but as a child liked to collect them but now I KNOW that they look better where they are.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the Knowing essay. Liked the structure -starting off light and then looking at the deeper meanings of things. Thank you
Wow, I enjoyed your essay very much. This idea of working toward dealing with what we know instead of backing down is a powerful one. This is going to keep me thinking for a while ;) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNokomis Beach - Hiawatha? Shells are so special - wonderful picture and message.
